TROOP AWARDS

 

 

These are the awards that you can give the girls in your troop yearly:

Membership Star - stands for one year of membership; given at the end of a Girl Scout year

If a girl reaches her 5 year membership, she can remove 5 membership stars from her uniform and replace with this special 5 year pin.

 

Special Recogntion

Cookie Activity Pin - Awarded each year after girls complete activity requirements Consider celebrating birthdays for the girls in your troop.  Send a   card and a birthday patch!  Lots of patches to choose from!
Bridging Patches -Bridging ceremonies usually take place at the beginning or end of the Girl Scout year

Investiture/Rededication Ceremony Patches - Investiture takes place the first time a girl or adult joins Girl Scouting. Rededication occurs every year after this.

Yearly Attendance Patches - you can use as an incentive and give to a scout who attends every troop meeting.

New this fall–the Volunteer of Excellence Pin! More details will be available from GSUSA and posted to gswpa.org in the next few months.

This year, we also welcome the return of the President’s Award, a group award presented to outstanding service unit teams or committees. In spring 2012, GSUSA will retire the Outstanding Leader, Outstanding Volunteer, Leadership Development and Trainer’s Pins. These awards will remain available through June; however, nominations should be submitted by April 30, 2012 to ensure availability.
