
Star Troop
Requirements
Every member of your troop can earn one of our Star Troop patches if your troop fulfills the following requirements:
Your troop must complete the requirements #1-12
1. The troop qualified for on-time registration
2. 1 or more leader is current in training for Leadership Essentials and Intro to GSWPA.
3. Troop participates in both Magnut and Cookie sales
4. Troop participates in a meeting or event with a younger troop as a mentor/coach excluding 1st year Daisy level
5. Leaders plan a “Girl-Driven” program, girls make choices about badges/patches, field trips and service projects.
6. Troop does at least 2 Service Projects during the year
7. At least one troop representative attends 7 out of 8 monthly leader meetings
8. Troop attends or participates in Thinking Day
9. Troop earns a leadership or team-building related patch, pin or badge or does a related activity
10. Troop holds at least 2 ceremonies within troop meetings during the year including Investiture or Rededication, Girl Scout’s Own or Court of Awards.
11. Troop plans at least 1 event that includes scout families or parent(s).
12. Troop submits a complete financial report to the Service Team on date requested
You must also complete at least 2 of the following:
13. Troop participates in at least one summer meeting or event.
14. Troop particicpates in at least 1 Council sponsored event
15. Troop Leader/Assistant is an active member of Service Team
16. Troop Leader/Assistant is a Delegate
17. Troop sponsors a “bring a friend” troop event
